I'm taking online classes to finish my career. Does anyone have any tips or advice or for me?
I am in the process of arranging to complete my degree through the University of Phoenix Online. He completed four years of study at various colleges, but due to family obligations, financial problems, so I never had the chance to finish. Now I'm making this a priority. He wanted to know of anyone who has taken online courses through this or other programs and know what I thought, what should I expect and learn what you can to prepare myself for others. All honest answers are welcome and wanted.
Congratulations on the promotion of their education. Not a lot of schools that can complete your degree online. Most will be cheaper than University Phoenix. Ask your first state universities. These sometimes be the least expensive options. An additional benefit of state schools, in most cases, the online degree you earn will be no different than the degree earned by a student sitting in class. Here are some of the schools for you: Fort Hays State University – Peru http://www.fhsu.edu/virtualcollege State University – University of Wyoming http://www.peru.edu/offuttafb/degreeprograms/onlinelearning.htm – http://outreach.uwyo.edu/ocp/ American Public University – http://www.apu.apus.edu/index.htm … University of Illinois – http://www.online.uillinois. edu / Not three regional schools accredited in the country that will allow the transfer in 100% of their degree requirements. This is Excelsior College in New York (http://www.excelsior.edu), Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey (http://www.tesc.edu) and Charter Oak State College in CT (http://www.cosc.edu). Since you have 4 + years of college, I'm assuming you have more of 90 credit hours. If this is the case, you will have fewer courses if you join one of the three schools above if you join the University of Phoenix. Also urge you to consider another school as well as the University of Phoenix. University of Phoenix charges $ 494 per semester hour credit. To give you an idea of why the tuition is ridiculous, Fort Hays State University charges $ 134 per semester hour credit. University of Wyoming, charges $ 137 per semester hour credit. American Public University is $ 250 per semester hour credit, but also includes books. We also urge you to avoid Strayer. Strayer also surcharges. Strayer is on the quarter hour system. Strayer Each course is 4.5 quarter credit hours. The website states per course tuition is $ 1355. That comes to $ 301 for each quarter hour of credit. To equate that to the credit hours per semester, divide that amount by 0.67. Therefore, enrollment equals Strayer $ 449 per semester credit hour. That's another ridiculous amount. All the schools I mention are at least regionally accredited. Each time you search for a program online degree, make sure the school is at least regionally accredited. Time http://www.chea.org/search/search.asp Accreditation or the U.S. Department Education on the website http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.asp You can get more information about accreditation in Good luck http://www.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index . html
