distance learning k-12
How I can be qualified as a teacher of distance learning?

If you are a distance educator, how did you prepare for your job? I am interested in working in the future as a distance educator. Currently I have a masters degree in educational media, and I have been teaching for 25 years (primary, intermediate and secondary education.) I consider myself a K-12 "generalist." I am interested in working, teaching online courses for primary, middle and high school students in remote locations. Is there a degree program or certification to prepare me for this job? I really do not need another degree.

It is not necessary have certification to become an online teacher. Although few certifications available, such as http://www.tesol.org/s_tesol/sec_document.asp?CID=244&DID=488, all you need is access to one of the sites of online teaching, as http://www.wiziq.com become an online teacher and begin to teach their students.
